Softgenlab (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit softgenlab.com, buy or use our software, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Purchase information: your name, email address, billing address and the plan you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- License information: your license key, and when you activate our plugins, the web address of your site, the plugin version and the IP address of the server making the request. This is used to check your license, count activated sites and deliver updates.
- Messages you send us: your name, email and message when you use our contact form or email us.
- Technical information: like most websites, our server records basic information such as IP addresses and browser type in logs, used for security and to prevent abuse.
What our plugins send
Our plugins run on your own website. TempKey Pro contacts softgenlab.com only to check your license and look for updates, sending your license key, your site address and the plugin version. It does not send us your users, content, orders or customer data. Information TempKey Pro records, such as its activity log, stays on your own website.
How we use your information
- To process orders, deliver license keys and downloads, and manage subscriptions
- To send important emails about your purchase, renewals and your account
- To provide support and reply to your messages
- To protect our products and customers from fraud and abuse
- To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, such as Stripe (payments and billing) and our web hosting and email providers, and only as needed for them to provide their services. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies needed for it to work, such as those set by WordPress and by Stripe during checkout. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep purchase and license records for as long as your license is active and afterwards as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop using it for certain purposes. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or California privacy laws. To make a request, contact us using the details below. Some information must be kept for legal or accounting reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and encrypted storage of license keys. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however.
Children
Our products are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
